W ramach warsztatów z drukarką 3D uczniowie gimnazjum i liceum, pod nadzorem nauczyciela informatyki, z sukcesem ukończyli pierwszy, najtrudniejszy etap, złożenia i uruchomienia drukarki 3D. Poświęcili na to około 20 godzin. Z uwagi na fakt, że instrukcja składania drukarki była
w języku angielskim , uczniowie wykazali się świetną znajomością tego języka , a uruchomienie
drukarki i jej prawidłowe działanie świadczy o zdolnościach manualnych uczniów zaangażowanych bezpośrednio w ten projekt. Kolejnym zadaniem było zapoznanie się z oprogramowaniem do obsługi takiej drukarki bo to gwarantowało możliwość wydrukowania najprostszych modeli. Operacja drukowania oczywiście się powiodła, uczniowie drukowali pierwszą literkę swojego imienia.
Kolejnym etapem będzie zgłębianie dalszych tajników programowania w celu przygotowania bardziej skomplikowanych elementów do wydruku.
